The 2023 SVC TechCon will be held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. The Gaylord National is the crown jewel of National Harbor and Washington, DC’s waterfront dining and entertainment district and offers a world class meeting experience that is expressly tailored to the networking driven SVC TechCon. The National Harbor is a 350 acre waterfront area on the Potomac River that contains more than160 shops, 40 restaurants, eight hotels including a casino.
The Gaylord National features the following exhibition and meeting facilities:
Over 545,000 sq. ft. of flexible convention, meeting, exhibition and pre-function space
- 180,000 sq. ft. exhibition hall with 17 dedicated loading docks
- 50,000 sq. ft. ballroom featuring a theatrical stage, plus an adjacent outdoor balcony offering views of the Potomac River
- Well-appointed ballrooms from 8,000 sq. ft – 30,000 sq. ft.
- Up to 101 breakout rooms with maximum flexibility
- Over 75,000 sq. ft. of outdoor special event areas, including a private pier, that overlooks the Potomac River
- Rooftop lounge, outdoor cigar terrace with fire pits, private dining rooms and more
The Gaylord National is located immediately off Interstate I-95 and has convenient shuttle access to downtown Washington, D.C. (8 miles)and all major airports (Reagan National Airport–DCA–8 miles, Dulles International Airport-IAD-35 miles, and Baltimore Washington International Airport- BWI-38 miles). Water taxi service available to and from Downtown D.C., Old Town Alexandria, Georgetown, Nationals Stadium and historic Mount Vernon.
TechCon Accommodations
The original rate guarantee deadline has passed but the rate of $289.00 will be honored until April 27, 2023.
This year, we have adopted a proactive protocol that we hope will put us into a situation where we are not paying for unused rooms from our block. Upon registration, you will first be directed to reserve your rooms at the Gaylord. When your reservation is completed, you will be issued a hotel confirmation code. You’ll need this confirmation code during the conference registration process to secure the lower conference rate. If you cannot provide a valid Gaylord registration code, you will be directed to a pricing structure that is higher. This policy does not apply to those who register as “exhibit visitors, tutorial only, or companions” nor to residents of the DC area who do not require hotel rooms.
If you register for the conference at the higher rate and subsequently make your hotel reservations at the Gaylord, then we will be delighted to refund the difference directly to you! Just let Jacque Matanis know by email, provide her with your Gaylord registration details and the refund will be promptly issued.

We have secured an extremely attractive conference lodging rate of $264.00 + tax/night (double occupancy, inclusive of resort fee) that contains an impressive array of amenities that are described below. This special price is available only within the SVC room block and are guaranteed until April 13, 2023. Be sure to book your room prior to this date to get the best rate. The resort fee may include:

Full conference attendees who pay their registration fee and book their hotel stay at the Gaylord by March 1, 2023 will automatically be entered into a drawing to receive a complimentary registration for the 2024 TechCon in Chicago, Illinois9
